Love Note to myself

I have been busy lately planning for my upcoming vacation in August which realistically is six months away. It goes by so fast. I do know I am more mindful about spending time with Ross and also trying to do more social interactions in my life by meeting friends. Or else, I would be working constantly.

On a cheerful note, I overcame a lot of things since my 2021 venture. I know that hardships are going to be an ongoing concern to everyone not only to myself. However, I wanted to pat myself on the back for making it.

This love note is not a future letter to myself. Well, sort of. I know it is Valentine's Day. I hope everyone is having a fabulous and romantic time. I am home, and my Calm Calendar suggested I should write myself a love note. Ross is working today, and so am I. We talked about having a post-Valentine dinner, which is fine by me. It does not have to be on the exact day. On the other hand, I think today apart from knowing that I am surrounded by love. I genuinely wanted to ensure that I am giving myself love as, well

Jade, you are mother trucking beautiful. I know you get so apprehensive about the things you see on IG and FB. Remember that the standards set on those social media platforms are hard to achieve. You can do some tweaks here and there. Make it you, and you have thrived accomplishing that. Look at your shop for your closet style inspiration. You have a blog that one day will get big. Keep on showcasing that talent of yours to the world.

You know your strength, so draw from those. You got that killer smile, and you know how lucky the seniors you see in ER are when they see you. You are wearing a mask, but you still smile. Let that heart shine and glow.

Continue fiercely singing. Do that guitar lesson. It will be worth it. Learn another language. You have been talking about learning French. You are so overdue for visiting Paris. Finish that book you are reading. Knowledge is power, remember.

Family is so important to you, and they are your inspiration. Better get ready for your vacation because it will be so much fun. Trust that it will be an extraordinary time. Let go of the expectations you have. Go with the flow, but please be on time with your flights.

Self-love is work that you need to keep doing daily. It is not an overnight process. It takes time and patience. I know it can be hard to do but know that you are not a people pleaser anymore. You are here to stand up for your rights and humanity. Don't be a doormat anymore. You got a voice; let it be heard. Support other causes, and in that way, you can spread some kindness and love out there. Let go of toxicities around you, and that includes people. Find your purpose and learn to sit still.

Remind yourself that you need to keep coming home to yourself. Also, do not forget to draw strength from others. Baby, you are worth it. You will stumble and fall so many times. You will also learn to continue thoughtfully telling yourself all these positive affirmations and promptly shutting down the nagging bitch in your head. Plus, forgiving yourself and not being hard on yourself. Don't forget that you are enough.

Be eternally grateful for the journey you had and where you are today. Live mindfully and sincerely appreciating all the marvellous beauty this world has to offer.
