The New You

The new you? It has been seventeen days already since the new year came upon us.I am still pondering what my goals are for this year. Don't get me wrong; I have written stuff already in my planner. However, when I think of January, I equate it to a continuation of the years passed. There is no such thing as a new year. I mean, the year changes only.
Starting to write is super hard for me lately, and I have sat down with my Mac trying to think of what to write, but they say you have to start small. Later on, it will grow. I did not have this problem before. I can write 500-600 words in one sitting as my shitty first draft. So as a starter, I guess this is one of my goals. I wanted to write more, and as part of my "new you" I want to be able to concentrate again on writing.

Let me get back to the new you concept that started this paragraph. When 2023 started, we are full of ambitions, hopes and aims. I know that some of you already have written down their resolutions. I have written in my planner that I need to eat better and allot more time for exercise. I am trying and sure have attended a pilates. A gruelling abs and booty burn yoga session. Those kicked my ass, but just like our yoga instructor said, "When you feel like you are defeated, ignore that notion. Rather thank your body that it is doing what it can to get you better each time."Those were not verbatim, but you know what I am saying. Plus, I am grateful for the sweat and time to meditate.New you involves experiencing defeat and failures. Accomplishing things definitely involves crashing and learning how to get up.
The "new you" is designed for you to include meaningful experiences aside from reaching a goal.
Recognizing that transformation is a process. We have to find ways to improve on things. I am sure no expert with writing, and I still have to learn ways on how to make my arguments stronger and more coherent sometimes. By doing it on a regular basis, I know I am making progress. Each transformation is unique. The pace is different. I am certain other people are making stride already with their gym goals, and it is ok if some of us are slow. The little increments that we do matter. We need focusing on the steps and the processes. You will see the results in the end.

If you are in a rut, I think it is so critical we have a solutions mindset. I believe true transformations require the key foundation of problem solving. Acknowledging you are stuck is a brilliant start. Write down what your concerns, issues and what your solutions are. The outcome you genuinely want will depend on your commitment. Talk to someone. Every so often, all we need is a soundboard. Or probably someone who can guide us on some steps and how to implement them. If you have to establish a timeline or customize your plan. You do it. Whatever methods you want to employ will depend on you. Identifying the barriers and finding out the lessons learned along the way are also crucial. Even if it means that you have to start from scratch and have to redesign your plan. Do your tricks and get inspired.
The "new you" is designed for you to include meaningful experiences aside from reaching a goal. Remember it is a continuation. I need to be part of this bandwagon because I am for sure in a rut with a hint of laziness. If I have to pinky swear myself to accomplish a goal. I will do it.
